Michael Shannon has proven that you can throw any character at him, and he will perform that role with terrific passion and intent. Over the past few years he has captivated audiences with roles in films like Take Shelter, My Son My Son What Have Ye Done and Bad Lieutenant. He is set to hit the big leagues as General Zod in Man of Steel next year, but first comes The Iceman, a chilling true story of a hitman who killed over 250 people in thirty years.
The killer was nicknamed The Iceman because he would freeze his victims in order to confuse the authorities on the exact time of death. Shannon plays the character incredibly well based on what we can see in the stunning first trailer, and he is joined by a rather impressive cast.
The Iceman is written and directed by Ariel Vroman and stars Michael Shannon as Richard Kuklinski ‘The Iceman’, alongside Chris Evans, Ray Liotta, James Franco, Winona Ryder, David Schwimmer and Stephen Dorff.
The Iceman is the true story of Richard Kuklinski: loving husband, devoted father, ruthless killer. He is believed to have killed more than 250 people between 1954 and 1985.
