Stallone declares “I’m a people person” in first trailer for Walter Hill’s ‘Bullet To The Head’: a people person who clearly doesn’t like people!

What a week for dangerous muscular old dinosaurs we are having! First off the Expendables 2 arrived in cinemas yesterday, then we saw Arnie take his Last Stand in the first trailer for that film yesterday, and today Stallone is up to his usual tricks in the first trailer for his new film Bullet To The Head.

Walter Hill returns to directing ten years after his last film, Undisputed, and from the looks of the trailer it is a welcome return indeed. Stallone eats up the screen as a stroppy, angry old killer who is out for revenge after his partner is killed. He teams up with Taylor Kwon (Sung Kang), and while the pair head off on a mission of pain and revenge, there is also plenty of time for that good old love/hate relationship as the pair bellow insults at each other constantly. Granted action films have moved on a bit now, and the picking on someone because they’re old or because they know kung-fu might be a bit tired, but it is Stallone for Christ sake: he is ALLOWED to play this character because he is Stallone and no one can tell him otherwise!

I like the look of this, I quite like the insults and comedy thrown in, reminds me of the action films of the 80’s and 90’s. I like the fact Stallone can still pull it off at his age, and it would be a far more boring movie world if the likes of Stallone, Arnie and all the rest decided to retire. Long live the action heroes of old I say, keep ’em coming!

Bullet To The Head is written and directed by Walter Hill. Released in UK cinemas 1st February 2013, the cast includes the mighty Stallone alongside Sung Kang, Jason Momoa, Christian Slater, Sarah Shahi, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Jon Seda.

Based on the graphic novels of the same name by Alexis Nolent, the movie stars Stallone as Jimmy Bobo, a hitman who sees his partner killed by a trained mercenary named Keegan (Jason Momoa). Sung Kang plays Taylor Kwon, a cop who has seen his own partner experience the same fate.Together they team up to hunt down their common enemy.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
