TV: Full trailer lands for Alfred Hitchcock based series ‘The Girl’ starring Toby Jones

After a couple of teaser trailers, the full length trailer has now arrived for HBO’s new TV series based on Alfred Hitchcock and the making of his classic movie, The Birds. Toby Jones plays the legendary director, and the full trailer is very interesting indeed. Titled The Girl, the TV series begins in the US on HBO on 20th October, while here in the UK it will air on BBC2 in December.

Starring Toby Jones and Sienna Miller, THE GIRL tells the story of iconic director Alfred Hitchcock’s obsessive relationship with his leading lady, Tippi Hedren, during the making of “The Birds” and “Marnie.” Written by Gwyneth Hughes (HBO’s ‘Five Days,’ ‘Miss Austin Regrets’), THE GIRL is directed by Julian Jarrold (‘Becoming Jane’, ‘Red Riding Trilogy’).

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
