Awesome, monster filled new trailer lands for Don Coscarelli’s ‘John Dies At The End’

John Dies At the End is the new horror comedy from Phantasm and Bubba Ho-tep director Don Coscarelli, and I must say I am very much looking forward to this. A brand new trailer has landed on-line featuring a whole new array of monsters and horrible things, and we get to see the full effects of a drug known as “Soy Sauce”.

The drug gives users not only an out of body experience, but can transport them to other worlds or dimensions. John uses the drug, but returns to Earth a hero who must fend of the evil monsters, and the whole set up looks brilliant. Add in to the mix the always excellent Paul Giamatti, and you have yourself one hell of a film!

John Dies at the End is directed and co-written by Don Coscarelli along with David Wong, and stars Chase Williamson, Rob Mayes, Paul Giamatti and Clancy Brown. The film will arrive in the US on VOD from 27th December, and then it will land in cinemas from 3rd February 2013. There are no UK dates as yet.

Synopsis:

It’s a drug that promises an out-of-body experience with each hit. On the street they call it Soy Sauce, and users drift across time and dimensions. But some who come back are no longer human. Suddenly a silent otherworldly invasion is underway, and mankind needs a hero. What it gets instead is John and David, a pair of college dropouts who can barely hold down jobs. Can these two stop the oncoming horror in time to save humanity? No. No, they can’t.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
