‘Evil Dead’ trailer arrives later today, but for now check out this awesome teaser trailer!

The first trailer for Fede Alvarez’ Evil Dead remake was screened at the New York Comic-Con just a couple of weeks ago, and those who saw it have been praising how amazing and scary it was. The trailer did leak on-line but was removed so fast you would have been very lucky to have caught it. I doubt the quality was very good either, but low and behold, all good things come to those who wait and thankfully those of us who have no seen the trailer yet do not have to wait much longer. A teaser trailer arrived on-line yesterday, courtesy of Sony Pictures, promoting the Evil Dead full length trailer, which arrives later today!

The teaser trailer mostly concentrates on the Comic-Con panel which actress Jane Levy, director Fede Alvarez and producer and cult icon Bruce Campbell attended, but those who attended have said it was one of the best panels ever. Jane Levy actually told the audience “I am so scared right now” after watching the trailer for the first time, while Campbell owned the stage, bellowing “where’s your art film now baby?!!” Also included in the teaser trailer are a few small clips from the film, but thankfully later today we will get to see a lot more, and here at HCF we will bring you the trailer as soon as it becomes available. Let’s just say I am VERY excited!!!

Directed by Fede Alvarez, Evil Dead has been written by Alvarez, Sam Raimi, Rodo Sayagues and Diablo Cody. Jane Levy (“Suburgatory”) as Mia; Shiloh Fernandez (Deadgirl, Red Riding Hood) as David; Lou Taylor Pucci (Carriers) as Eric; Jessica Lucas (Cloverfield) as Olivia; and Elizabeth Blackmore (Legend of the Seeker) as Natalie all appear, and Bruce Campbell is also onboard as a producer with Sam Raimi.

The Evil Dead is due to arrive in UK cinemas 12th April 2013.

Synopsis:

In the much anticipated remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
