Jumpy first clip from horror sequel ‘The Collection’ creeps up on you

The Collection, the rather excellent looking sequel to The Collector, opens in US cinemas on November 30th, and LD Entertainment have released the first clip via Apple. The clip is a simple, yet very effective use of tension and lighting, and if this is an indication as to how the film will be, then I am seriously excited. Check out the clip below.

The new film is once again written and directed by Marcus Dunstan, with his writing partner Patrick Melton also onboard to co-write. Johanna Brady, Josh Stewart and Christopher McDonald all star.

Synopsis:

When Elena’s (Emma Fitzpatrick) friends take her to a secret party at an undisclosed location, she never imagined she would become the latest victim of The Collector, a psychopathic killer. The Collector kidnaps and transports her to an abandoned hotel he’s transformed into his own private maze of torture and death. Upon learning of his daughter’s disappearance, Elena’s wealthy father (Christopher McDonald) hires a group of mercenaries to retrieve her from the vicious grips of The Collector. These mercenaries coerce Arkin (Josh Stewart), the only man to have escaped the wrath of this heinous monster, to lead them through thegruesome labyrinth. Now, Arkin finds himself fighting for his own life in order to save Elena.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
