‘Paranormal Activity 4’ may tease of a Latino themed Paranormal Activity movie during the end credits?

Much like how Marvel teased fans at upcoming films during the end credits, Bloody Disgusting are reporting unconfirmed rumours of a similar plan for Paramounts upcoming Paranormal Activity 4. Due for release in UK cinemas on 17th October, the fourth film in the popular franchise is directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, directors of the third film. The reports are saying that fans who stay post-credits will be treated to a short clip teasing the 2013 release of the studio’s unnamed Latino Paranormal Activity spinoff.

We reported back in April on this Latino based version of Paranormal Activity, and before you begin panicking of remakes or cash-ins, the spin-off horror is being produced by Oren Peli (creator of the Paranormal Activity franchise) and his regular collaborator Jason Blum. Here is what we said in April, and so far is all that anyone really knows, about the Latino version of Paranormal Activity:

The new film is looking to take on a Latin based theme, using mostly Latino characters, and will use Catholic-based paranormal mythology. Paranormal Activity and Insidious producer Jason Blum will reunite with Peli once more, and the project will also see the pair working again with Christopher Landon (writer of Paranormal Activity 2 and 3).

The expectation is that the project will begin shooting in the next several months, and Landon will be both writing and directing. Paramount, who will be releasing the film, have hinted at a January 2013 release, hoping to reproduce the success of The Devil Inside, which was released January this year. Steven Schneider, who also helped produced Paranormal Activity and Insidious, will serve as producer on this new low budget project.

So, while this has yet to be confirmed, it just might be worth sticking around during the credits to see what this new version of Paranormal Activity will look like. We will bring you confirmation on these rumours once we get some concrete evidence, but fingers crossed this is true.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
