First image revealed for horror anthology sequel ‘S-VHS’

Above you will find your first look at the sequel to the rather awesome found footage horror anthology, VHS. Twitch scored the first image from the sequel which is destined to become one of the biggest horror films of 2013.

The original V/H/S horror gained massive praise after debuting at the Sundance Film Festival in early 2012, and now the film is set to creep out UK audiences on 18th January. I saw the stunning film at Frightfest, and you can read my review here.

The sequel was announced a few weeks ago, and the first image, scored by Twitch, is above.

The directors for S-VHS include Gareth Evans ( The Raid and Merantau), Eduardo Sanchez (Lovely Molly, The Blair Witch Project) along with his producing partner Gregg Hale, Jason Eisner (Hobo With A Shotgun) and Timo Tjahjanto (Macabre, The ABC’s of Death) will be joining returning writer and director Adam Wingard (V/H/S, You’re Next, A Horrible Way To Die), and writer/producer Simon Barrett (V/H/S, You’re Next, A Horrible Way To Die) will be making his directorial debut.

Synopsis:

“When a sleazy PI and his assistant are hired to find a missing student, they break into his house to find evidence of his whereabouts. Inside they find a hub of recording equipment and monitors surrounded by stacks of VHS tapes. They check the footage for clues to the boy’s disappearance, opening up an endless stream of horrifying videos. But the changes that the videos cause may be even more horrific… 5 more tapes. 5 more stories. More will be revealed”

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
