New ‘Iron Man 3’ images give us our first look at Rebecca Hall, plus a peak at Iron Patriot, a smashed up Mark VII mask and a concerned Tony Stark

Just this week Marvel President Kevin Feige told fans that Iron Man 3 would not be too serious, but judging by these four new images, I beg to differ! So far everything we have seen for Iron Man 3 is pointing at a much darker film, with the trailer not featuring any Stark one-liners and everyone looking mighty stressed.

Marvel have released four new images which continue down the serious root, but thankfully also offer up something new as well. We get another look at Tony Stark looking very concerned about something infront of him, plus a look at a shiny new Iron Patriot suit. There is also another look at the Iron Man Mark VII mask all smashed up, and the worrying thing is just how this happened. Finally, we get our first look at a rather lovely looking Rebecca Hall as Maya Hansen, and she is looking hot I am sure you’ll agree!

Iron Man 3 is directed by Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang), and Black also co-writes with Drew Pearce. Iron Man 3 stars Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man, Marvel’s The Avengers) as the iconic Super Hero character Tony Stark/Iron Man along with Gwyneth Paltrow (Iron Man,Iron Man 2,) as Pepper Potts, Don Cheadle (Iron Man 2) as James “Rhodey” Rhodes and Jon Favreau (Iron Man,Iron Man 2) as Happy Hogan. Iron Man 3 continues the epic, big-screen adventures of the world’s favorite billionaire inventor/Super Hero, Tony Stark aka “Iron Man.” Sir Ben Kingsley will be playing the role of the villain, The Mandarin, and Guy Pearce will play the role of Aldrich Killian.

Iron Man 3 kicks off Marvel’s Phase Two on 26th April 2013.

Official synopsis:

Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
