First trailer lands for UK horror ‘Comedown’, from the director of Kidulthood

Arriving here in the UK on DVD & Blu-ray on 11th March is Comedown, a new horror flick from Menhaj Huda, the director of Kidulthood. The first trailer for the film went on-line a few days ago, and we have it right here for you to feast your eyes on.

The film appears to perfectly blend youth of today culture with a slasher themed horror, and being based in a rundown block of flats only adds to the menace and realism to the film. Kidulthood was a great film, and while not perfect, certainly showed off some impressive directing skills from Huda. With Comedown it looks like he has taken those skills and added a cool horror twist which, on the strength of this trailer, should work very well together.

Directed by Menhaj Huda, and written by Steven Kendall, Comedown’s cast includes Adam Deacon, Geoff Bell, Jessica Barden, Sophie Stuckey, Duane Henry, Jacob Anderson, Calum MacNab, Gemma-Leah Devereux, Slaine Kelly and Christos Lawton.

Comedown arrives on DVD & Blu-ray here in the UK on 11th March.

Six friends, who’ve known each other from childhood, break into the tower block they lived in as kids, now deserted and condemned, to rig-up a pirate radio station, get high and party. When one of the group goes missing, her friends begin to search the dark interior of the tower and soon realize that they are not alone: a resident psychopath lurks in the shadows and is hunting them down, taking them out, one-by-one.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
