Garrett Hedlund set to return as ‘Tron: Legacy’ sequel moves forward

Just last week Disney expressed that they were very keen to get the sequel to Tron: Legacy moving forward, “as quickly as possible” they said. It was also announced that a new writer had been hired to pen the script, Jesse Wigutow (It Runs in the Family), and with Tron: Legacy director Joseph Kosinski also returning as director, it seems we may get a sequel sooner than we think.

However, with Kosinski currently in post-production on his latest sci-fi epic, Oblivion, it is not sure exactly when what is currently called Tron 3 will begin production.

In a bit of a no brainer, star of Legacy Garret Hedlund has confirmed he will be returning as Sam Flynn. He told Next Movie:  “Yeah, are we gonna break this now? Disney’s very excited. That’s about that. You know, yeah, I’m very excited, Disney’s very excited.”

There’s no word yet on any plot details for the sequel, but we will keep you updated.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
