The first chilling six minutes of Franck Khalfoun’s ‘Maniac’ remake have arrived, watch it here if you dare!

As is becoming a new trend in movies these days, we now have the first six minutes of Franck Khalfoun’s Maniac remake to share with you, but I must warn you that it is most definitely NSFW!!!

The highlight of Frightfest 2012, you can read my review of the film, and I can promise you that Maniac is the must-see horror film of 2013. The opening six minutes give a good indication of exactly what you can expect from this savage and utterly disturbing film. The music, the dark and cold colouring, the violence, Elijah Wood as the killer stalking his prey, seeing the world through the killers eyes, there is so much to love about this film. However, I can also guarantee that it will leave you incredibly shaken, and this is not a horror film you will forget in a hurry.

Maniac is an incredible achievement in both horror movies and movies in general, there is so much that is good about this film and thankfully these first six minutes show off quite a bit. Maniac is rather arty, in a very good way, and there is a good chance audiences will either love it or hate it. Me, I loved it! Check out the opening six minutes to get an idea of just how incredibly amazing this film is!

Synopsis:

Just when the streets seemed safe, a serial killer with a fetish for scalps is back and on the hunt.

Frank is the withdrawn owner of a mannequin store, but his life changes when young artist Anna appears asking for his help with her new exhibition. As their friendship develops and Frank’s obsession escalates, it becomes clear that she has unleashed a long-repressed compulsion to stalk and kill.

A 21st century Jack the Ripper set in present-day LA, MANIAC is a re-boot of the cult film considered by many to be the most suspenseful slasher movie ever made – an intimate, visually daring, psychologically complex and profoundly horrific trip into the downward spiralling nightmare of a killer and his victims.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
