After last weeks stunning teaser trailer, a new and more dramatic two minute trailer has landed for JJ Abrams sequel, Star Trek Into Darkness, and it is quite something. Featuring a new voiceover by Pike (Bruce Greenwood), who tells Kirk that he will get everyone under his command killed, the new trailer is very menacing, with Cumberbatch’s still mystery villain having a chilling presence.
Kirk is told by Pike: “There’s greatness in you, but there’s not an ounce of humility. You think that you can’t make mistakes, but there’s going to come a moment when you realize you’re wrong about that. And you’re going to get yourself and everyone under your command killed.”
Menacing words indeed, but the fun doesn’t stop there. Eagle eyed fans at Trek Movie spotted in the trailer the words “Are You the 1701” Searching on-line, these words lead you to a viral site which asks for you to sign up, and promises to tell you when the search will begin. Search for what, that is the question. Check out the viral site here.
