As expected, a flurry of action features in Japanese trailer for ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’

Ah those pesky Japanese, they don’t have time for silly things like plot when it comes to their trailers, they just want to get right to the action! A brand new, although frustratingly short, trailer has landed for director John M. Chu’s sequel, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, and it’s rather good.

It features mostly stuff we have already seen in the numerous other, longer trailers, but the Japanese voiceover gives it an added kick, making the excitement levels much higher than they probably should be. Maybe we should get this voiceover guy to do all action trailers and give lesser films a much needed boost!

The film stars D.J. Cotrona, Byung-hun Lee, Ray Park, Adrianne Palicki, Jonathan Pryce, RZA, Ray Stevenson, Channing Tatum with Bruce Willis and Dwayne Johnson. Directed by Jon M. Chu, and produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Brian Goldner, from a screenplay by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick based on Hasbro’s G.I. Joe(R) characters, the film is scheduled to be released on 29th March 2013.

In this sequel, the G.I. Joes are not only fighting their mortal enemy Cobra; they are forced to contend with threats from within the government that jeopardize their very existence.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
