Lee Hardcastle is the seriously talented British Claymation filmmaker responsible for a number of very funny short films based on classic horror films. Through his “Done in Sixty Seconds with Clay” TV series, he has created sixty second versions of The Exorcist, Hostel, Evil Dead, Eraserhead, Shaun of the Dead and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. He has also made a Pingu version of The Thing and countless other short films using Claymation, and it was his unique talent that won him a place on the upcoming horror project The ABC’s of Death.
The letter T in the massive anthology was an open competition for unknown directors from around the world to submit a short film, and fans were given the chance to vote for their favourite. Hardcastle’s T is for Toilet won over hundreds of applicants, and will be included in The ABC’s of Death. In fact, if you have seen either the green or red band trailer for the horror anthology, Hardcastle’s awesome Claymation stands out and you can’t miss it.
Since Texas Chainsaw 3D has just been released, what better time would there be to take a look at Hardcastle’s version of Tobe Hooper’s 1974 original. Check it out below.
