Check out six impressive clips from Ruben Fleischer’s ‘Gangster Squad’

Six brand new clips have been released for director Ruben Fleischer’s crime epic Gangster Squad, and we have them all right here for you to enjoy. The film arrives in UK cinemas this Thursday courtesy of Warner Brothers, and the new clips indicate that the film should be a lot of fun.

The clips feature some rather cool dialogue from the amazing collection of top class actors, and we also get to witness a couple of violent outbursts from people like Josh Brolin and Ryan Gosling. Sean Penn, who plays main bad boy Mickey Cohen, is chilling in his clip, and it is Penn who has been getting most of the praise for his performance in this film. Check out all the clips at the bottom of this post.

Ruben Fleischer directs, and Will Beal has adapted the screenplay from Paul Lieberman’s book. Ryan Gosling heads up the cast, and joining him for the ride will be (deep breath!!), Sean Penn, Emma Stone, Josh Brolin, Nick Nolte, Giovanni Ribisi, Michael Pena, Mireille Enos, Robert Patrick, Anthony Mackie, Frank Grillo, Josh Pence, Derek Mears and Sullivan Stapleton.

Los Angeles, 1949. Ruthless, Brooklyn-born mob king Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn) runs the show in this town, reaping the ill-gotten gains from the drugs, the guns, the prostitutes and–if he has his way–every wire bet placed west of Chicago. And he does it all with the protection of not only his own paid goons, but also the police and the politicians who are under his control. It’s enough to intimidate even the bravest, street-hardened cop…except, perhaps, for the small, secret crew of LAPD outsiders led by Sgt. John O’Mara (Josh Brolin) and Jerry Wooters (Ryan Gosling), who come together to try to tear Cohen’s world apart. “Gangster Squad” is a colourful retelling of events surrounding the LAPD’s efforts to take back their nascent city from one of the most dangerous Mafia bosses of all time.

Gangster Squad arrives in UK cinemas 11th January 2013.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
