Back in November it was announced that Maria Bello was to star in James Wan’s new horror film, House of Horror. While Wan is very busy with true story horror film, The Conjuring and also a return to The Further with Insidious: Chapter 2, he is writing House of Horror, and we are excited about it.

The film has now been untitled, and while it is still going ahead, we have no official name for it so for now we will continue to call it House of Horror. A new name was added to the cast yesterday, Frank Grillo. While mostly appearing in TV series’s over his career, Grillo is beginning to make a name for himself in the movies as well. Just this past year we have seen him in films like The Grey, Warrior, End of Watch and Lay the Favourite. He will also be seen this year in Zero Dark Thirty and Homefront, and next year he already has Captain America: The Winter Soldier on the cards (he will be playing Crossbones).

Directed by Will Canon (Brotherhood) here is the House of Horror synopsis:

The film centers on the aftermath of a horrific massacre: five college students, brutally murdered inside a decrepit, abandoned home. Fresh on the scene, detective Mark Lewis and the police department’s psychologist, Dr. Elizabeth Klein (Bello), question one of the few survivors who explains they were amateur ghost-hunters, seeking out paranormal phenomenon at the abandoned house, believed to be haunted. But what started out as a harmless activity turned into something truly terrifying, and the suspect claims the responsibility doesn’t lie with any of the inhabitants, but with the house itself.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
