It feels like ages ago we brought you the trailer for director David Guy Levy’s brilliant looking new horror, Would You Rather, and so it gives me great pleasure to be able to share some very impressive new clips with you.
The film is now available in the US on selected cinemas and also on VOD and various digital outlets. Unfortunately there is no UK release date to share with you at this time, but we will be keeping a close eye on this one!
The first time we brought you the trailer for this film it was pulled from Youtube, so as a reminder, I have not only added the two rather excellent clips, but the trailer is also here in case you missed it first time.
Would You Rather boasts an impressive cast, which includes Brittany Snow, Jeffrey Combs, Jonny Coyne and Sasha Grey. The film is directed by David Guy Levy, and written by Steffen Schlachtenhaufen.
Keep up to date at the Would You Rather Facebook page.
Iris has been taking care of her brother, Raleigh, ever since her parents died in an accident. Raleigh is struggling with leukemia, and as his health gets worse, the bills get more expensive. Iris is desperate and jobless.
Miraculously, her doctor introduces her to the fabulously wealthy and powerful Shepard Lambrick, who presents Iris with an opportunity to compete in a game. If she wins, the Lambrick Foundation will find a donor for her brother and pay for the rest of his treatment. Iris accepts the invitation.
When she arrives, she meets her fellow opponents – all desperate individuals with their own tragic stories, each hoping to find salvation through Shepard Lambrick¹s game of Would You Rather. (His own twist on the popular children¹s game.)
However, Shepard Lambrick¹s version of Would You Rather is definitely not for children. It requires that the players act on their decisions, within seconds. Almost immediately the game becomes life threatening.
Anyone who tries to leave and not continue the game will be shot on the spot. As the rounds progress, the contestants are pushed to their extremes, and soon players begin to be eliminated forever.
