Marvel have revealed their latest character poster for their upcoming sequel, Iron Man 3. We have already seen a couple of Tony Stark/ Iron Man posters, and just last week we saw a poster of Don Cheadle wearing his Iron Patriot suit. Now comes the turn of one of the films villains.
Playing a small, but no less important role is Guy Pearce, and his villain Aldrich Killian is described at the mastermind behind Tony Starks problems. Killian is the co-creator of the ‘Extremis Virus’, a nanotechnology intended to breeds super soldiers, only the sneaky scientist doesn’t use his knowledge for good. However, according to James Badge Dale, who plays Eric Savin/ Coldblood in the film, Killian’s role will be much more important than just a simple cameo. He recently told Showbiz 411: “Ben Kingsley is the mouthpiece. Guy Pearce is the brain. I’m the muscle”
Iron Man 3 is directed by Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang), and Black also co-writes with Drew Pearce. Iron Man 3 stars Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man, Marvel’s The Avengers) as the iconic Super Hero character Tony Stark/Iron Man along with Gwyneth Paltrow (Iron Man,Iron Man 2,) as Pepper Potts, Don Cheadle (Iron Man 2) as James “Rhodey” Rhodes and Jon Favreau (Iron Man,Iron Man 2) as Happy Hogan. Iron Man 3 continues the epic, big-screen adventures of the world’s favorite billionaire inventor/Super Hero, Tony Stark aka “Iron Man.” Sir Ben Kingsley will be playing the role of the villain, The Mandarin, and Guy Pearce will play the role of Aldrich Killian.
Iron Man 3 kicks off Marvel’s Phase Two on 26th April 2013.
