Tony Stark has “a lot of apologies to make” in extended Super Bowl TV spot, plus new images!




Everyone knew that an Iron Man 3 TV spot was going to arrive during yesterday’s Super Bowl, but an extended version arrive instead. In a very playful manner, the extended part of the trailer simply has Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark teasing the added footage of himself, and it is quite playful.

Then we head into the more serious, dramatic and thrilling TV spots which see’s plenty of destruction, Stark wanting to apologies, and  Ben Kinsgley’s villain, The Manadarin, giving a harsh warning that “you’ll never see me coming” Dark times indeed, but if that couldn’t get any better, the teaser ends on a thrilling scene of Iron Man attempting to save passengers of a plane, a sure sign that Iron Man 3 is going to be one hell of a thrill ride.

Also revealed are four new stills from the TV spot, just in case you missed anything.

Iron Man 3 is directed by Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang), and Black also co-writes with Drew Pearce. Iron Man 3 stars Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man, Marvel’s The Avengers) as the iconic Super Hero character Tony Stark/Iron Man along with Gwyneth Paltrow (Iron Man,Iron Man 2,) as Pepper Potts, Don Cheadle (Iron Man 2) as James “Rhodey” Rhodes and Jon Favreau (Iron Man,Iron Man 2) as Happy Hogan. Iron Man 3 continues the epic, big-screen adventures of the world’s favorite billionaire inventor/Super Hero, Tony Stark aka “Iron Man.” Sir Ben Kingsley will be playing the role of the villain, The Mandarin, and Guy Pearce will play the role of Aldrich Killian.

Iron Man 3 kicks off Marvel’s Phase Two on 26th April 2013.
