While many have argued that horror found footage anthology, V/H/S, may not have been perfect, there is no denying that David Bruckner’s Amateur Night (pictured) was one of the highlights. Now, the director who also made the superb horror flick, The Signal, is about to unleash an all new tale of terror, and horror fans should be very excited.

Deadline is reporting that Bruckner has been set by David Linde’s Lava Bear to direct Intrusion, a dark horror thriller written by L.D Goffigan (Hunger). Lava Bear will produce along with Doug Davison, Tariq Jalil and Lucas Carter.

Deadline describes the film as:

A young woman’s life begins to unravel shortly after moving to San Francisco, when she realizes she’s being pursued by a disturbed stalker. As the assaults and creepy incidents escalate she realizes that she has become the target of something far more sinister and horrifying.

This is all we have right now, but this sounds very exciting indeed, and with Bruckner’s small but brilliant back catalogue, I can only see good things coming from this. We will keep you posted.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
