A Facebook campaign has been launched by an eager film fan to help gain interest on making a sequel to last year’s 2000AD comic adaptation, DREDD. Featuring Karl Urban as the masked law enforcer Judge Dredd, he and rookie trainee Anderson are sent to take down a gang that deals the reality-altering drug, SLO-MO.
The independent film received praise from fans and critics alike, with the movie screened in both 2D and 3D in cinemas across the UK and USA. However, concern grows within the film community as the likelihood of a sequel all depends on the sale of the DVD and 2D/3D double play Blu-Ray.
As huge fans of the film, HCF are urging you, the film fans, to login to your Facebook account, head on over to facebook.com/MakeADreddSequel and hit the Like button. Share this info with your friends and family, as the campaign hopes to gather enough interest in the movie to greenlight a sequel, in which the possibilities of the Cursed Earth and Dark Judges could be explored, as previously hinted by Dredd writer, Alex Garland (21 Days Later, The Beach).
Most importantly, if you haven’t already, make sure to purchase your copy of Dredd, available at all good DVD/Blu-Ray stores, online shops and supermarkets.
