Back in January there were reports that Christopher Nolan was re-working brother Jonathan Nolan’s script for time-travel sci-fi, Interstellar. There was also a rumour that the legendary director was planning to direct, and was in “complex” talks with Paramount.
Yesterday it was confirmed that Christopher Nolan is indeed going to direct the epic sci-fi, which is based on a script written by himself and his brother. Even more exciting is that the film even has a confirmed release date, 7th November 2014.
A press release (below) also shows the pairing of two major studios to back the film, proof if there ever was of Nolan’s standing as a film director. Paramount and Warner Brothers have joined forces to back and release the film. Paramount will handle US distribution, while Warners will handle the rest. This is a truly impressive pairing as Warners and Paramount do not usually work together on major releases. All the exciting details can be found in yesterday press release.
