Here’s three new clips from Stephenie Meyer’s latest adaptation, ‘The Host’

Three new clips have been released in preparation for the 29th March release of The Host, the latest Stephenie Meyer adaptation. Things have been looking rather positive on this one, and with Andrew Niccol directing, my guess is this won’t be a wet blanket borefest like Twilight was. Out of the three clips, there is a boring talky one, but the other two both involved chases and are very exciting. Check them out below.

Directed by Andrew Niccol (In Time, Lord of War) based on the story written by Stephenie Meyer (Twilight), and Meyer is also producing the film. The film stars Saoirse Ronan, Diane Kruger,Max Irons,  Jake Abel, William Hurt and Frances Fisher. The Host arrives in UK cinemas 29th March 2013.

The Host is a riveting story about the survival of love and the human spirit in a time of war. Our world has been invaded by an unseen enemy. Humans become hosts for these invaders, their minds taken over while their bodies remain intact. Most of humanity has succumbed.

When Melanie, one of the few remaining “wild” humans, is captured, she is certain it is her end. Wanderer, the invading “soul” who has been given Melanie’s body, was warned about the challenges of living inside a human: the overwhelming emotions, the glut of senses, the too-vivid memories. But there was one difficulty Wanderer didn’t expect: the former tenant of her body refusing to relinquish possession of her mind.

When outside forces make Wanderer and Melanie unwilling allies, they set off on a dangerous and uncertain search for the man they both love.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
