‘Insidious: Chapter Two’ see’s Lindsay Seim join cast as young Elise Rainier

Some quick casting news coming out of James Wan’s now in filming Insidious: Chapter Two. Lindsay Seim, who has appeared in For the Love of Amy and Caught on Tape, has been cast to play the younger version of Elise Rainier, and this poses some interesting plot ideas.

Elise Rainier is played by Lin Shaye in both films, and if you remember she is the one who attempts to get rid of the evil spirits trying to get to Dalton. Her character was very interesting, and with Seim cast to play the younger version of Rainier, this could mean either some flashbacks, or (hopefully) a little more backstory on her character.

James Wan returns to direct, and Leigh Whannell returns to write. Also back for more is producer Jason Blum.

Linsay Seim joins the already cast Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye, Ty Simpkins, Jocelin Donahue, Barbara Hershey, Leigh Whannell, Angus Sampson, Andrew Astor and Danielle Biscutti.

There is no official synopsis for Insidious: Chapter Two, but it will lead on from the events of the first film, and will be released in US cinemas September 20th, with the UK following shortly after.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
