The legendary Thom Yorke began his strange, hypnotic and oddly very cool dance routines during the tour of Radiohead’s Kid A. I remember seeing the band and watching, in total amazement, as Yorke sang Idioteque and then began dancing as if someone had just zapped him with a thousand bolts of electricity.
That dancing continued for years, and finally made it to video when the single Lotus Flower was released a few years ago. The black and white work of genius could only have worked with Thom Yorke doing the moves, and it was incredible to watch.
Now Yorke takes things up a notch with the first video from his new supergroup, Atoms For Peace. The album Amok, is now available, and the first single has just released its video. Titled Ingenue, the video features Yorke and a dance partner doing all kinds of bizarre but truly excellent moves. It really needs to be seen to be believed, check it out below. The song itself is superb!
