So here it finally is, the crazy, violent NSFW red-band trailer for ‘Kick-Ass 2’!!!

Kick Ass

We’ve been talking about Kick Ass 2 for sometime now, and after a very small amount of images, out of nowhere comes the official red-band trailer, and it is goood!!!

Jeff Wadlow has taken over directing duties from Matthew Vaughn, and it appears he has done a pretty good job at upping the game somewhat. The sequel appears to be on a much bigger scale as we see Kick Ass and Hit Girl ready an army for battling against the newly named villain The Mother Fucker (great name!). Not only that, but it would appear that the law also has a problem with these people in costumes, which puts both good and evil in a bit of a predicament. Last but not least, we see Jim Carrey added to the cast as Colonel Star and Stripes.

Carrey is almost unrecognizable as the good guy who wants to “have some fun”, and boy does he appear to be having a great time here. Before he was cast he expressed his love of the first film, and this had fans excited to see him become part of the sequel, and from the looks of things, adding Carrey to the cast was a great idea. He looks totally insane, and that final moment in the trailer with him laughing after his dog has literally got a villain “by the balls” is a moment I could keep watching over and over again. Hilarious!

Kick-Ass 2 is directed by Jeff Wadlow  and written by Wadlow, Mark Millar and John S. Romita Jr. Matthew Vaughn returns to produce. The cast see’s Chloe Grace Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Aaron Taylor-Johnson return, and they will be joined by Jim Carrey, Lyndsy Fonseca, John Leguizamo, Donald Faison, Morris Chestnut, Yancy Butler, Clark Duke and Lindy Booth.

Synopsis:

Kick-Ass, Hit Girl and Red Mist return for the follow-up to 2010’s irreverent global hit: Kick-Ass 2. After Kick-Ass’ (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) insane bravery inspires a new wave of self-made masked crusaders, led by the badass Colonel Stars and Stripes (Jim Carrey), our hero joins them on patrol. When these amateur superheroes are hunted down by Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse)—reborn as The Mother Fucker—only the blade-wielding Hit Girl (Chloe Grace Moretz) can prevent their annihilation. When we last saw junior assassin Hit Girl and young vigilante Kick-Ass, they were trying to live as normal teenagers Mindy and Dave. With graduation looming and uncertain what to do, Dave decides to start the world’s first superhero team with Mindy.

Unfortunately, when Mindy is busted for sneaking out as Hit Girl, she’s forced to retire—leaving her to navigate the terrifying world of high-school mean girls on her own. With no one left to turn to, Dave joins forces with Justice Forever, run by a born-again ex-mobster named Colonel Stars and Stripes. Just as they start to make a real difference on the streets, the world’s first super villain, The Mother Fucker, assembles his own evil league and puts a plan in motion to make Kick-Ass and Hit Girl pay for what they did to his dad. But there’s only one problem with his scheme: If you mess with one member of Justice Forever, you mess with them all.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
