First footage from Bong Joon-ho’s epic sci-fi ‘Snowpiercer’ is revealed in first behind the scenes featurette

Bong Joon-ho’s (The Host) dramatic new apocalyptic sci-fi, Snowpiercer, has been slowly releasing glimpses of the film by way of some cool passports photos and character posters. Now comes our very first look at some actual footage by way of a behind the scenes featurette. Sadly the video is not in English, but it does give us our first look at just how impressive this film would appear to be.

Unfortunately we are still no closer to finding an actual release date for this highly anticipated film, but the featurette does says “Summer 2013” so hopefully we will hear something very soon. Also, with all this promotional activity now kicking off, a trailer must be on the horizon…

Snowpiercer is written and directed by Bong Joon-ho, and is based on the graphic novel written by Benjamin Legrand. The cast includes Song Kang-ho, Chris Evans, Jamie Bell, Alison Pill, John Hurt, Tilda Swinton, Ed Harris, Ewen Bremner, Octavia Spencer and Luke Pasqualino. Park Chan-wook (Oldboy, Thirst, Stoker) produces.

Snowpiercer is set in a future where, after a failed experiment to stop global warming, an Ice Age kills off all life on the planet except for the inhabitants of the Snowpiercer, a train that travels around the globe and is powered by a sacred perpetual-motion engine. A class system evolves on the train but a revolution brews.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
