Sergio Morcillo’s Horror TUS GRITOS ME DAN RISA Wins First Prize at Fanter Film Festival


Sergio Morcillo’s short horror TUS GRITOS ME DAN RISA (Your Scream Make Me Laugh) topped the Fanter Film festival by coming first in the professional short film category.

The festival, which was attended by over 3,500, showcased 10 short films with Sergio securing the first prize of 900 Euros and a statuette award. Jose Luis German scored second place with his short, Hotel, which earnt him 300 € and an award. The jury also gave a special mention to Victor Nores for his film, “Eutanas SA”.

In the amateur short film category , “Caserón” by Miguel Ángel Izquierdo received the 1st prize (300 €+ statuette), while the Audience Favourite was awarded to “Llamada Divina”, directed by Francisco Amores who received 200 € along with his award. There were also a special mention to Alberto Campón for ¿Que hay en la mente de un asesino?.

In the stories category, first prize went to “El buehonero” from Fernando Rena (250€ + figurine) and second (150 €+ statuette) was awarded to “Nunca seremos libres”, directed by Carlos Barbero de Palma.


Sergio Morcillo’s TUS GRITOS ME DAN RISA 15 minutes horror short stars Rafa Casette, Flora Lopez, Ignacio Martinez, Zoraida Marin and Diego Dominguez and is written by both Morcillo and Paul Rodriguez.
