Under the Dome

New TV series Under the Dome is slowly but surely revealing itself. The very first promo video featured recordings of emergency phone calls with some of the words appearing on a black screen, then came the ‘first look’ promo last week. This week see’s the release of two new promo TV spots which finally give us an actual look at the Dome which has trapped an unfortunate town. Check out both TV spots at the bottom of this post.

Niels Arden Oplev, who helmed the original Swedish version of “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” will direct the first segment. Britt Robertson, Natalie Martinez, Colin Ford, Alex Koch, Jolene Purdy, Rachelle Lefevre, Mike Vogel, Dean Norris, Aisha Hinds and Nicholas Strong star. Lost writer Brian K. Vaughan is the shows creator.

The Steven Spielberg produced adaptation of Stephen King’s Under the Dome will begin on CBS on 24th June.

Here is the synopsis for the show:

On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester’s Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener’s hand is severed as “the dome” comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when — or if — it will go away.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
