Gemma Arterton and Anna Kendrick to face the horror of talking pets in ‘The Voices’

The last time we reported on the new horror flick, The Voices, was way back in October when Ryan Reynolds was in talks to lead the cast. Turns out he took that role, and the lucky bastard is now starring along side Gemma Arterton (above) and Anna Kendrick (below).

Deadline is reporting that The Voices has now added both Arterton and Kendrick to its cast, and suddenly the bizarre sounding film has got a little more interesting!

The film is directed by Marjane Satrapi (Persepolis) and has been written by Paranormal Activity 2 and The River’s Michael R. Perry. Mandalay Vision  financed the film, with Mandalay’s Matthew Rhodes and Cathy Schulman producing with Vertigo’s Roy Lee and Mandalay Senior Vice President Adam Stone.

Synopsis (prepare yourself!)

Reynolds plays a lovable but strange bathtub factory worker who yearns for the attention of a woman in accounting. When their relationship takes a sudden murderous turn, Jerry’s evil “talking” cat and benevolent “talking” dog lead him down a fantastical path that ultimately brings him to salvation.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
