‘Godzilla’ attacks a fishing village in latest set photos

The latest bunch of set photos from Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla have emerged, thanks to  CBM. Again, we are yet to actually see Godzilla, and probably won’t until much nearer the release date (and hopefully even then it will just be glimpses), but what is interesting here is the blue screen being used.

The photos are showing a small fishing village which is clearly being attacked by Godzilla, and we see some destruction, but also we can see some school children running with a massive blue screen next to them. This could either be for digitally adding Godzilla in later, although it could suggest the beast being on all fours. It could be that this might be an attack by a different monster, as it has been said that Godzilla will feature two other monsters as well.

Gareth Edwards is directing the film from a screenplay by Max Borenstein, Frank Darabont and Dave Callaham.  Legendary’s Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni are producing with Mary Parent and Brian Rogers.  Alex Garcia and Patricia Whitcher are serving as executive producers alongside Yoshimitsu Banno and Kenji Okuhira.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, and Juliette Binoche are starring in the film, with David Strathairn and Bryan Cranston.

Slated to open on May 16, 2014, the film is expected to be presented in 3D.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
