Director Bryan Singer continues to use Twitter to keep fans up to date on what is happening on set of his new film, X-Men: Days of Future Past. We have had numerous images proving cast names are indeed returning, and while we have already seen James McAvoy return, today we actually get to see him in character as Professor X.

Above is the image from Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class, so you can use it as a comparison to the image Singer posted of how McAvoy looks now. Long hair, unshaven, very serious looking and dressed like a 70’s hippie, or even better, like Shaggy from Scooby Doo, it is a far cry from the gentleman-like look of the first film. Check out the image below.

X-Men: Days of Future Past is expected to arrive in cinemas 18th July 2014.

X-Men: Days of Future Past is being written by Jane Goldman, Simon Kinberg and Matthew Vaughn and will see the newly formed titular team working to prevent an alternate future where mutants are hunted by giant machines called The Sentinels.

It follows the 1980s’ comic storyline written by Chris Claremont that alternates between a present day battle against the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, and a future timeline where an assassination of a government official has led to Sentinels roaming the land and mutants held prisoner in internment camps.

The cast for X-Men: Days of Future Past, is looking something like this: Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Peter Dinklage, Halle Berry, Shawn Ashmore, Daniel Cudmore, Fan Bingbing and Booboo Stewart.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
