Three new TV spots have dropped for Zack Snyder’s awesome looking Man of Steel, and all three can be seen below. I must warn you though, if you feel you have seen enough already, then steer clear of these new teasers. They contain LOTS of new footage, and while most of it is simply ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ type stuff, there is an awful lot here we haven’t seen before.
We get more insight in General Zod’s motives, and his accent, more information on what the ‘S’ stands for, bucket loads of new action (including a mighty punch dished out to Zod by Superman) and plenty more character moments and even some light comedy: one woman discusses Superman with her army general, telling him “I think he is kinda hot”. So, plenty of stuff to enjoy here!
Directed by Zack Snyder, produced by Christopher Noaln and written by David S. Goyer and Jonathan Nolan, the film stars Henry Cavill as Clark Kent, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Kevin Costner and Diane Lane as Jonathan and Martha Kent, Michael Shannon as General Zod and Russell Crowe as Jor-El. Also amongst the highly impressive cast are Laurence Fishburne, Christopher Meloni, Ayelet Zurer and Antje Traue.
Man of Steel arrives in cinemas June 14th.
In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination. Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question ‘Why am I here?’ Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. When the world is in dire need of stability, an even greater threat emerges. Clark must become a Man of Steel, to protect the people he loves and shine as the world’s beacon of hope – Superman.
