Olivia Wilde and Mark Duplass are set to star in a new horror thriller from Lionsgate. Jiro Dreams of Sushi director David Gelb will be directing the film, and horror producer Jason Blum is onboard to produce and work his magic here.
“The story follows a team of research students that discovers the secret to bringing subjects back from the dead — however, their actions result in a series of sinister consequences.”
Echoes of Flatliners are the first that spring to mind here, and I loved Flatliners, so I am interested to see this.
The screenplay was written by newcommer Luke Dawson and Jeremy Slater (who wrote the screenplay for Josh Trank’s upcoming Fantastic Four reboot).
Wilde was most recently seen in The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, but has also appeared in films like Tron: Legacy, In Time, Cowboys and Aliens and Deadfall. Duplass has appeared in Zero Dark Thirty, People Like Us, Safety Not Guaranteed and TV series The Mindy Project.
