Bloody Disgusting have exclusively revealed a chilling new poster for Jaume Balaguero’s fourth film in the (Rec) series, (Rec)4: Apocalypse. On top of the poster they also exclusively revealed the teaser trailer with added English subtitles.
The teaser trailer we have seen before, only this time there are subtitles to help. However, considering the majority of the trailer is made up of people screaming, the subs barely register. The teaser trailer is still astonishingly well put together, with the added sting in the tail at the end hinting at the horrors to come in the fourth film. The poster also issues a creepy warning of “it’s time to get out”.
What we can tell so far is that, unlike the third film which ran parallel to (Rec), the fourth film will be a direct sequel to (Rec) 2, and production os now under way. The poster tells us that the film will be released next year, and I am keeping my fingers crossed that Balaguero sticks to the found footage formula. It is called (Rec) after all.
(Rec) 4: Apocalypse, directed by Jaume Balaguero, will complete the (Rec) series. The gorgeous Manuela Velasco returns as reporter Angela Vidal.
Angela Vidal, the young television reporter who entered the building with the fireman, manages to make it out alive. But what the soldiers don’t know is that she carries the seed of the strange infection.
She is to be taken to a provisional quarantine facility, a high-security installation where she will have to stay in isolation for several days. An old oil tanker, miles off shore and surrounded by water on all sides, has been especially equipped for the quarantine.
