It would seem that X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer is quite keen on Tweeting photos of his returning cast to prove they are actually all coming back. Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Shawn Ashmore and Halle Berry have all had the treatment so far, and now it is Ellen Page’s turn.
Returning as Kitty Pryde/ Shadowcat, Singer posted the below image of Page onset, with the caption “hello Kitty”. She will play a very important role in the next film which jumps from the past and the present. It is Kitty who alerts the X-Men of a future where mutants are imprisoned in internment camps.
X-Men: Days of Future Past is expected to arrive in cinemas 18th July 2014.
X-Men: Days of Future Past is being written by Jane Goldman, Simon Kinberg and Matthew Vaughn and will see the newly formed titular team working to prevent an alternate future where mutants are hunted by giant machines called The Sentinels.
It follows the 1980s’ comic storyline written by Chris Claremont that alternates between a present day battle against the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, and a future timeline where an assassination of a government official has led to Sentinels roaming the land and mutants held prisoner in internment camps.
The cast for X-Men: Days of Future Past, is looking something like this: Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Peter Dinklage, Halle Berry, Shawn Ashmore, Daniel Cudmore, Fan Bingbing and Booboo Stewart.
