First ‘Man of Steel’ clip see’s Lois Lane and Perry White having a heated discussion

While not quite as action packed as the recent trailers and TV spots, the very first clip from Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel has gone on-line, after debuting on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

The clip simply features Amy Adams looking as gorgeous as ever as Lois Lane, and she is in a heated discussion with her boss, Perry White (Laurence Fishburne). Clearly they are talking about Lane spotting something out of the ordinary, and she is being forced on a two week leave because she will not give up what she saw. What is most interesting here is, as expected, the sheer intensity and realism of the scene, and the clever way Snyder’s camera moves around. With just over a week to go before release, maybe just one action scene will suffice till then?

Directed by Zack Snyder, produced by Christopher Noaln and written by David S. Goyer and Jonathan Nolan, the film stars Henry Cavill as Clark Kent, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Kevin Costner and Diane Lane as Jonathan and Martha Kent, Michael Shannon as General Zod and Russell Crowe as Jor-El. Also amongst the highly impressive cast are Laurence Fishburne, Christopher Meloni, Ayelet Zurer and Antje Traue.

Man of Steel arrives in cinemas June 14th.

In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination. Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question ‘Why am I here?’ Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. When the world is in dire need of stability, an even greater threat emerges. Clark must become a Man of Steel, to protect the people he loves and shine as the world’s beacon of hope – Superman.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
