A third trailer has landed for Roland Emmerich’s (Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow, 2012, Stargate) latest blockbuster, White House Down, and after the cheese fest of the previous trailer, this one really delivers.

Clocking in at over four minutes long, this new trailer will not disappoint the popcorn crowd looking for an easy Summer blockbuster to look forward to, and White House Down should have action fans foaming at the mouth. The extended trailer with John Cale (Channing Tatum) being interviewed for the Secret Service, but soon changes pace as The White House comes under attack. With his daughter in harms way, Cale must save the President (Jamie Foxx) and save America. The banter between Tatum and Foxx looks like great fun, and Foxx (as always) looks to be putting on a great show as the peace loving President.

White House Down is directed by Roland Emmerich and written by James Vanderbilt  (Zodiac, Robocop). The cast includes Channing Tatum, Jamie Foxx, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jason Clarke, James Woods, Joey King, Rachelle Levefre, Richard Jenkins, Jimmi Simpson and Lance Reddick. The film will arrive in UK cinemas on September 6th.

Synopsis:

Capitol Policeman John Cale (Channing Tatum) has just been denied his dream job with the Secret Service of protecting President James Sawyer (Jamie Foxx). Not wanting to let down his little girl with the news, he takes her on a tour of the White House, when the complex is overtaken by a heavily armed paramilitary group. Now, with the nation’s government falling into chaos and time running out, it’s up to Cale to save the president, his daughter, and the country.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
