Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese have teamed up again to bring us a sexy, intriguing bank crime film The Wolf of Wall Street, based on ex-stockbroker Jordan Belfort’s memoirs.
The first trailer has been released and it certainly looks as though DiCaprio is enjoying himself!! Kanye West’s “Black Skinhead” music compliments the trailer, as we see DiCaprio take on the role of Belfort, and his rise and fall in the 1980s financial scene. The trailer is hilarious, with a particularly special performance from Matthew McConaughey.
Hard partying and drug abusing Belfort was indicted in 1998 for security fraud and money laundering, and spent 22 months in a federal prison as a result.
Belfort’s memoirs have been adapted by Terence Winter (Boardwalk Empire) and principals Riza Aziz and Joey McFarland produce, alongside Scorsese, Emma Tillinger Koskoff, Irwin Winkler, Alexandra Milchan, DiCaprio and his partner Jennifer Killoran.
The film also stars Jonah Hill, Kyle Chandler, Matthew McConaughey, Jean Dujardin, Margot Robbie, Jon Bernthal, and Rob Reiner.
The Wolf of Wall Street arrives in cinemas on 15th November 2013.
