A new trailer, courtesy of MSN, has been released for The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, starring Lily Collins (Abduction, Priest). The story is set in modern day New York, and focuses on a young teenager who finds out she’s a descendant of Shadowhunters, a secret organisation of angel-warriors who protect the world from demons.
The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones arrives in UK cinemas 23rd August 2013. Based on the novel’s written by Cassandra Clare, the first film is directed by Harald Zwart (The Karate Kid) and the cast includes Lily Collins, Lena Headey, Jonathan Rhys Myers, Robert Sheehan, Jared Harris, Jamie Campbell Bower, Kevin Zegers and Aidan Turner.
Set in contemporary New York City, a seemingly ordinary teenager, Clary Fray (Collins), discovers she is the descendant of a line of Shadowhunters, a secret cadre of young half-angel warriors locked in an ancient battle to protect our world from demons.
