Showing no signs of slowing down his big return to movies, Arnie has signed for his, like, hundredth film this year! Set to be seen soon in Escape Plan with Stallone, and with films on the horizon like The Expendables 3, Sabotage, Terminator 5, Captive, The Legend of Conan and Triplets, you’d think he could not squeeze in anything more. However, it appears his time away from the movies while playing politics has left him thirsty for action, and his latest movie announcement is the strangest yet!

Variety is reporting that Arnie is due to star in a film called Maggie, and it see’s Arnie desperately trying to save his daughter after she is bitten by a zombie and is beginning to turn. Naturally with films like World War Z and TV series The Walking Dead, zombies are big business again, and so Arnie is getting in on the action. Maggie will take place during a time when a “walking dead” type virus has taken place across the US.

Arnie is set to produce, and the film will be directed by commercials director Henry Hobson. The script is based on a Black List script written by John Scott 3, and production is expected to begin this Autumn.

Silver Reel and Lotus Entertainment have partnered with Silverlining Media Group and Gold Star films to produce and finance “Maggie.” Schwarzenegger will also produce with Pierre-Ange Le Pogam, Matt Baer, Trevor Kaufman, Colin Bates and Joey Tufaro.

Bill Johnson, Jim Seibel, Ara Keshishian, Hubert Gibbs, Claudia Bluemhuber and John Scott 3 are executive producing.

Initially Chloe Grace Moretz was in talks to play the role of Arnie’s daughter, but scheduling conflicts has meant she had to pass on the film.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
