Sony Pictures is bringing their much talked about Robocop remake to Comic-Con this Saturday, and they will be showing off the first ever footage from director Jose Padilha’s brave new film. However, to keep fans interested we have our first new piece of news on the film in sometime.
The website OmniCorp.com has been updated with all sorts of cool new stuff, and a brand new viral video has landed too. While the viral video is a little unimpressive, it hints that the marketing campaign for the film just might kick off soon. There is no real film footage to see here, but simply an advertisement for OmniCorp and the products they are offering the consumer.
Director José Padilha (Elite Squad) reimagines the tale of part man, part machine, all cop starring Joel Kinnaman (The Killing) as the title character, with Abbie Cornish playing his wife Ellen, Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight Rises) as the scientist who creates RoboCop, Jackie Earle Haley as Maddox, the man who dispenses the military training to Robocop, Michael Keaton will play Raymond Sellars, and Samuel L. Jackson (The Avengers) as media mogul Pat Novak, and Aimee Garcia will play a scientists who helps put Robocop together. RoboCop is being produced by Strike Entertainment’s Marc Abraham and Eric Newman, with Eric Carraro as Executive Producer.
Robocop is expected in UK cinemas 7th February 2014.
