Recent announcements have indicated that Prometheus 2 is well and truly on the way, and slowly but surely moving forward. However, those of you that simply cannot wait for the sequel will be happy to know that something else might be on the horizon, something from Dark Horse Comics.
Dark Horse expanded on Scott’s Alien with a line of comics which have been running since the eighties, and it sounds like the comic book company are planning to do the same with Prometheus. Dark Horse Entertainment have told THR that “we’re brewing something up that I think the fans of Ridley Scott’s amazing film will really like.”
Bleeding Cool adds that “much in the same way Dark Horse expanded the lore of Aliens with their line of comics from the eighties to the current decade…Dark Horse will now be adding the characters from Ridley Scott’s Alien prequel Prometheus into the fold.”
Nothing has been confirmed, but there is expected to be an announcement at Comic-Con later this month. For those who don’t know, the Dark Horse Comics which expanded the Alien universe also created the Alien vs Predator idea, which went on to spawn two pretty awful films. However, with so much squeezed in to Scott’s Prometheus, Dark Horse will have plenty to get stuck into if they are indeed creating a comic book series to expand the film.
Expect an announcement soon.
