It really seems to be rumour time at the moment concerning Star Wars. It has been said that Abrams is unwilling to film in the UK, as it would involve a lot of personal upheaval for a director who has only ever directed projects in the US. The issue has been thought to be so serious that some have been saying that Abrams is set to walk away from the project entirely. However, Lucasfilm has just released an official statement claiming that this is not so.

“There is no truth to the rumour. J.J. is having a great time working on the script and is looking forward to going into production next year.”

Now we can understand the personal upheaval lengthy filming in the UK may cause, but why would Abrams give up on a project that appears to be so close to his heart?

Star Wars: Episode VII is expected to open in 2015. We know very little about the project yet, but isn’t that usually the case with Abrams?

I'm a huge film fan and will watch pretty much any type of film, from Martial Arts to Westerns, from Romances [though I don't really like Romcoms!]] to Historical Epics. Though I most certainly 'have a life', I tend to go to the cinema twice a week! However, ever since I was a kid, sneaking downstairs when my parents had gone to bed to watch old Universal and Hammer horror movies, I've always been especially fascinated by horror, and though I enjoy all types of horror films, those Golden Oldies with people like Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee probably remain my favourites. That's not to say I don't enjoy a bit of blood and gore every now and again though, and am also a huge fan of Italian horror, I just love the style.
