Vanessa Hugens and Denis Leary join horror comedy ‘The Kitchen Sink’

A new horror comedy, which is being compared in tone to Zombieland, is on the way from director Robbie Pickering (Natural Selection). The film is set to open with an alien invasion in a small town, and will see locals team with zombies and vampires to fend off the invaders.

Spring Breakers star Vanessa Hudgens is in final talks to join the film, and if she accepts, she will be playing the local hottie in danger (naturally!) Actor and comedian Denis Leary has already signed on to appear in the film, and he will be playing a character who is a smart and wealthy citizen of the town who apparently isn’t the friendliest of folks.

Busy screenwriter Oren Uziel (22 Jump Street, Men in Black 4, Mortal Kombat) wrote the Blacklist script back in 2010. The film has already attracted a rather fine cast, including Nicholas Braun (The Perks of Being a Wallflower), Mackenzie Davis (Smashed), Josh Fadem (Awful Nice), and Chris Zylka, who starred as Flash Thompson in The Amazing Spider-Man.

The Kitchen Sink is set for release in October 2014.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
