Vin Diesel hints at possible role in ‘The Avengers 2’, says Marvel meeting went well

A couple of weeks ago we reported that Vin Diesel was due to have a meeting with Marvel, with the man himself saying on Facebook “Marvel has requested a meeting… no idea what for… haha, you probably know better than me…”

Well, he has now had that meeting and it sounds like it went well. Diesel again took to Facebook to announced the following;

“Marvel meeting today. Only the people in the room can tell you what was discussed…P.s. Thanks to Our page, for pushing to make it happen… you know I get tunnel vision with my work… and after that meeting today… wow!”

So, while Diesel clearly is not allowed to discuss who he might be playing, an photo of himself at the Marvel studios could be a clue, or a massive coincidence. Now, while there have been rumours floating about that Diesel could be playing the big villain, Thanos, the bad guy is nowhere to be seen in the photo. However, there have been rumours that Benicio Del Toro might also be playing Thanos, and those rumours have presumably been dismissed after Del Toro’s role in Guardians of the Galaxy was revealed earlier this week.

So what we are left with is Diesel stood in front of an early The Avengers poster, which could be a hint that he will be playing a character in The Avengers 2. As for whether he will be playing Thanos, no one knows, but appearing rather prominently in the poster behind him is Giant Man, and Diesel certainly looks the part to be playing that character.

However, to add more possibilities, in Diesel’s comments, he mentions the word “vision”, and Vision is an android Avenger. So basically, who the hell knows what Diesel will be playing. I am sure we will find out soon enough.

A keen enthusiast and collector of all horror and extreme films. I can be picky as i like quality in my horror. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be a classic, but as long as it has something to impress me then i'm a fan. I watch films by the rule that if it doesn't bring out some kind of emotive response then it aint worth watching.
