A UK trailer has been released for the political thriller The Conspiracy. Check it out below.

Written and directed by Christopher MacBride and produced by Lee Kim, the film is in the found footage format and has been described as in the vein of Eyes Wide Shut and was successful at Fantastic Fest last year.

The Conspiracy is based on actual conspiracy theories of secretive organisations, particularly the Bohemian Club and the Bilderberg Group, who are made up of those in positions of power in the international world of politics and business. Check out the posters and trailer below.

The film will feature at the Film4 FrightFest this year between 22nd and 26th August, with a wider release in the UK on 11th October. The US will get it on various VOD platforms on 8th August, with limited release on 23rd August via XLrator.

Synopsis

When two young filmmakers (played by Aaron Poole and Jim Gilbert) select a crazed conspiracy theorist as the subject of their new movie, they have no idea the terrifying peril they will put themselves in. When the man disappears without a trace, the filmmakers begin an obsessive quest to uncover the truth that will lead them to an ancient and dangerous secret society. A meticulously researched thriller based on real conspiracy theories, THE CONSPIRACY blurs the line between fact and fiction, news and propaganda.
