A second international trailer has arrived for director Carl Rinsch’s fight flick, 47 Ronin, and we have it right here for you. There are subtitles if you click on the captions button, so check it out below and try to enjoy it.
I say try because this latest trailer makes the film look far too much like a kids fantasy film in places, and while after the first trailer I was hooked, this new trailer has me a little unconvinced. Some of it looks really impressive, but some of the CGI looks pretty terrible, and I worry the emphasis will be more on the monsters rather than the fights. Hopefully I will be proved wrong.
47 Ronin is directed by Carl Rinsch and written by Chris Morgan and Hossein Amini. The cast includes Keanu Reeves, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tadanobu Asano, Rinko Kikuchi, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa and Ko Shibasaki.
47 Ronin arrives in UK cinemas on Boxing Day.
Synopsis:
From ancient Japan’s most enduring tale, the epic 3D fantasy-adventure 47 Ronin is born. Keanu Reeves leads the cast as Kai, an outcast who joins Oishi (Hiroyuki Sanada), the leader of the 47 outcast samurai. Together they seek vengeance upon the treacherous overlord who killed their master and banished their kind. To restore honor to their homeland, the warriors embark upon a quest that challenges them with a series of trials that would destroy ordinary warriors.
