Behind-the-scenes images released for Joy Ride 3 including star Ben Hollingsworth with his dummy look-a-like


In Britain the original was called Road Kill and starred a hot cast which included Paul Walker (The Fast & The Furious franchise).  Then came the sequel, Joy Ride 2: Dead Ahead, which was called by the original American title, Joy Ride.

Now we have Joy Ride 3, which has been written and directed by direct-to-video maven Declan O’Brien (Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings; Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines)

Production commenced on 3rd September in Winnipeg, Manitoba and Fox has decided to share some behind-the-scenes images and certainly looks like their having fun on set. Check them out below.

Bloody Disgusting also reports that someone on the set last night said: “Lets pick up the digits…we’re going to be using those later.”

The film stars Ken Kirzinger (X-Men: The Last Stand, Watchmen), Leela Savasta (This Means War) and Ben Hollingsworth (Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules).

Joy Ride 3 will be released on Blu-ray, DVD, Digital HD and VOD in the Summer 2014.


Rusty Nail is back on the road again looking to punish injustice at every turn — and this time it’s with a group of hotheaded street racers on their way to the Road Rally 1000. As they drive through a desolate shortcut on the way to the race, an encounter with Rusty turns sour and soon he is tracking, teasing and torturing them until the end of the road.
